What's Wrong With This Picture?

Perhaps, just perhaps, it is obvious what is out of place. And I'm not talking about the leaves on the ground that have not yet been raked or the pine needles needing to be swept off the roof.

She Who Shall Not Be Named, aka Mistress of Strong Winds and Creator of Extra Yard Work for Suburban Lesbians, evidently felt Wendy and I needed something more to do.

We are so blessed.

Maybe the boy can reprise his role as the lumberjack!

While an excellent suggestion, jeana, it's too late! Wendy and I, along with a volunteer neighbor we'd never even met before, cleaned it all up already. :)

you really should not build under the trees. the house is much nicer to be in when there is some distance between the trees and the structure.

yeouch. any damage to the house? I am assuming that people and 4-footeds are ok....

ah the joys of suburban homeownership.....but you can use the firewood!

Cris, thanks for the chuckle. But that tree was far away from the house. It just happened to be a very tall one.

No one was home except the dogs who were inside napping. The house sustained minor damage. A character mark, we'll call it.

eb, your poetry skills are amazing. Thanks for sharing. I think.

Hey now you won't need to use a ladder to get up onto the roof! Oh, you cleaned it up already? Nevermind, don't sell that ladder.

My goodness! At least it seemed to have fallen gently.

And eb, while her poetic waxings are not to be denied their due, only slightly changed a few words from a rather famous "Mony Python" song.

"She Who Must Not be Named" is evidently also, "She Who Must be Obeyed." Obviously you gals needed the physical exercise and a little ego come-uppance about who's the boss. Remember: "Don't fool with Mother Nature."

Yikes about that tree. Did you get it resolved yet? Whew. That must have been loud. Were you home?
