The Sound of One Pin Dropping?

When a blogger takes an extended break, characteristic or not, do blog readers like to hear about why said extended break occurred when said blogger finally does return? Or would they just prefer to jump back into the routine of regular posts?

More importantly, perhaps, are they thankful when a blogger who took an extended break finally does re-grace them with her presence? Is anyone still out there? (Yes, of course I know. That's a flagrant request to hear that someone missed me. I can be a whore that way. But not a cheap whore. Be kind. Don't forget I bake a mean pan of brownies. I may bake some for you one day.)

It's been a frenzy here in suburbia. A frenzy of family. The Boy came home. Then the in-laws arrived.

Our home. It has been full.
In all the right ways.

Now it's kinda quiet again.
In all the right ways.

(btw, how do you people with resident families ever find time to blog?!)

The brownies were the consolation for us every time we checked the blog and there wasn't anything new... we could sit back and think... ahhhhh brownies.

Because they do look like some damn good brownies.

Missed you-- and you don't even have to bake me brownies. :) Glad you're back! I suffer from separation anxiety, much like my dog.

I'm currently residing alone due to hubby's military job-- he's in Rhode Island, and thankfully not Iraq--so I find I have far more time to blog than when he's home. Funny, that.

Gee, now I'm in the mood for brownies...

I like brownies, especially the kind that give you a good buzz. And FWIW, I missed you.

I, for one, am not a lover of brownies...or anything chocolate for that matter. perhaps next time you go on hiatus you could leave a pic of a bottle of VO up there to give me the warm and fuzzies till you return

I missed you too- eveytime I'd come over here to see if you'd posted I'd see those damn brownies and have to go find something chocolate to eat!
I'm glad you got to spend time with your family.

I totally want to hear every detail explaining a blogging absence. But then, I'm nosy like that.

Once everyone else goes to sleep, I can blog to my heart's content. I was a little nervous while you were gone, but I suspected you were just busy with other things.

nighttime blogging! You have been missed! I thought we were just waiting for you to finish that damn pan of brownies off!

You have been missed, indeed. Although your absence gave me time to find you the brownie pan I posted in a previous comment. Which is ample evidence you were thought of while your were out, if nothing else. ;-)

Yep... glad those damn brownies are gone and I second Kitty Litter about posting a nice vodka tonic or something the next time you abandon, er I mean, stop blogging!
