A Sign in His Eyes?

I sit and watch the rain,
And see my tears run down the windowpane...
I sit and watch the sky.
And I can hear it breathe a sign...

Okay... so IF you go to any lyric site for the lyrics of the musical Jekyll and Hyde, those words will be the first lines of an incredibly beautiful duet called "In His Eyes." Being ever-so-slightly anal, that's what I did. And I was surprised. Surprised I say, because for months after getting the cd (and seeing The Boy in the show,) I heard the words of the second line as:

I sit and watch the sky.
And I can hear it breathe a sigh...

I've decided I like my way better, damnit.

How do you breathe a sign?

I hate it when you merrily sing the words the way they SHOULD be and then find out they are something entirely different.

I agree, your way is definitely better. It not only rhymes better, it actually makes sense.

I know what you mean. I am SUCH a better lyricist than David Bowie. He needs to rewrite almost all of his songs.

Uh, btw, Ms. Wendy Queen of Clean Panties, if you are going to take over for Johnny Carson you have to take over EVERY day. Did the JC show ever have a night off? I don thin so, Babalouie.

C'mon. We want pearls of wisdom every single day. You can do it. I mean, if Suzanne can do it...sheesh...if Gina can do it...if MEL can do it. Well, I rest my case.

Don't be dissing Bowie.

I certainly intended to try to post daily, EB. Seems it's not my strength. I'll be happy to give the blogging duties back to Suzanne and go back to keeping her undies nice and fresh. :)

Weese...you stay out of this.

Ms. WQOCP, let me give you a topic...your hair. Tell us all about your hair.

And Gena, while I'm at it might I add that David Byrne should start making sense.

Damnit, EB, you've seen my hair.

Thank you, Weese. Guess us slackers need to stick together. :)
