You not only get applause, but a standing ovation from me. I have lost waaaay too many friends and relatives to smoking-related diseases and it always thrills me when someone actually quits.
Well done! (What do you do with the extra money? do you have a "we don't smoke fund", as friends of mine (five weeks and getting pretty twitchy) have done?)
I echo all the other post (except those spammers who are whoring their blog) and shout a roudy "WTG" to you and Wendy. My hubby smoked for 38 years when we started dating. After the 4th date when I knew that it was going somewhere - I asked him to trade the cigs for me. He did. It was a HUGE trade (in more ways than one) and he's been smoke-less for going on 6 years now. I love him for that. Do you still want one everyday or is it getting better?
That's wonderful news--nothing like a reformed smoker--I know you wouldn't lord it over the weaklings who still inhale. It's been 27 years for me. Kathy still smokes...it's like the old light bulb joke: she has to really want to change.
