I got an email from my dad yesterday. This excerpt made me smile for more reasons than one:
"The time grows nigh for the great trek to Montana. I'm really looking forward to this little venture. I feel like coming from the east and west we should drive a golden spike or something."

Ah, yes!
The time grows nigh for the great trek to Montana!

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I am excited for you guys to go!

I was just thinking about that myself the other day.

You guys must buy big cowboy hats, or else you are just going to stand out like sore thumbs! :)

Okay...glad you're going to Montana and glad to discover that some of the "drama" that you have was inherited...Nigh on time to say, I only mean this in the nicest of ways!

I hope you enjoy your visit to my state! About the cowboy hat suggestion.. don't worry about it! I have lived here on a farm my entire 25 years, raised cattle, showed cattle, etc... I am a Montanan through and through but have never worn a cowboy...er cowgirl hat in my case! :)

That is so cute. We drove from E-W, too...interesting route through the Northern part of the US...lots of Cum N Go stores and casinos in gas stations..still don't get that logic.
