Postsecret

I work with a fellow who I'm pretty sure reads this blog on occasion although I suppose it's possible he may have become bored following my pathetic little life and given up on reading it at all. But I don't think so. I gave him an opportunity to fess up once after he made a comment about something specific I'd posted about myself, but he didn't bite. Eh. I don't really want to know.

Anyway, he shared with me the link I'm about to share with you so I thought I'd give him credit in case he still does poke around here. It's a fascinating concept, albeit not a new one, that of anonymous confession. Some of the submissions are heartwrenching while others are laugh-out-loud funny.

Postsecret

Enjoy.

You know, I've seen that sight talked about in a number of places, and I just can't make myself go there. How can it still be a secret if a bunch of strangers know. Kinda creeps me out.

i've been visiting that site since its beginning and I even mentioned it on my blog 2 months back.
You are right - some of it is funny but more of it makes me think to me-self - - "how awful it must be to carry that kind of weight around in your soul." Just awful.
Glad that I don't have anything worth sending in on a postcard.

I love that site. I am intritgued by what certain people consider a secret...and also how some people can be so honest.

The concept of anonymously letting out a deep dark secret one has kept for who knows how long is intriguing to me. I can imagine some of the associated guilt is carried away with the postcard.

Personally, I could think of a thing or two I wouldn't mind mailing away.
