Homecoming Housework

Today I did housework with my hair in a ponytail on the top of my head ala Pebbles Flintstone. Why? Oh why not. The dogs don't care and Wendy already knows I'm a bit odd.

Speaking of odd. Our friends were mocking us for taking time to really clean the house before The Boy's arrival home. I think it would be odd not to do so. We like him to feel welcome and special, because he is. One way we show our love is with a clean house.

I ask you.
Is it really that odd?

Really? Did you use a bone for a barrette, too? Now that would be odd.

Not, odd at all, very loving. Good moms!

If it's odd, then welcome to my world. I've done the same thing while cleaning the house. I've had shorts over longjohns, and the ponytail happening on the top of the head. My hubby thinks that I am a little off my rocker.....I think that is why he loves me.

No. Please come and clean my house. For I, too, am special.

Hmmmm. My mom was the same way. Always clean for special occasions and special people. Now I can't have company because I'm such a slob ;^)

I have lived away from home for 12 years... and every time I walk into my parents' house it has just been cleaned. JUST FOR ME!

And they always put flowers in my room.

I think ya'll are sweet for making him feel special.

Nope. I'm known to do the ala-Pebbles hair-do as well. But then again, I am known to be odd LOL.

No, I always clean before relatives come over. Unless they drop by without notice, and then they are just SOL. They can step on toys just like me.

I don't do anything special to my hair or even wear anything unique to cleaning the house. However I've been seen wearing a Pebbles ponytail on my forehead a couple times when I really needed a haircut.

I don't see anything wrong with that...I always pull my hair up when I clean the house!

As should be no surprise - I am with you on this one.
I also like to clean my son's room when he is away on a trip... (not like pick up his toys...more like a good dust/vacuum, fresh sheets and open windows for air)
